Quick Mashed Potatoes from Sir Potato Blanched Cubes video

Ingredients (for approx. 2–3 servings):

  • 1 pack of SIR POTATO – blanched potato cubes (450 g)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1–2 tbsp butter (or clarified butter – ghee)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped chives or parsley

Method:

1. Simple potato preparation:

  1. Open the pack of SIR POTATO (450 g).
  2. No need to rinse the potatoes – they have already been washed several times during production.
  3. Pour them into a colander and let drain for 2 minutes at room temperature.

2. Prep work:

  1. Finely chop the onion.
  2. Melt the butter in a pan and sauté the onion until golden.

3. Heating the potatoes:

  1. Add the potatoes to the sautéed onion.
  2. Heat over low heat for about 5 minutes – stir gently so they don’t fall apart.

4. Mashing:

  1. Use a potato masher to lightly mash the potatoes – they should remain only partially crushed.
  2. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Optionally add chopped chives or parsley.

Serving tips:

  • Perfect as a side dish for meat, meatballs, or even as a main course.
  • For extra flavor, add crispy bacon or tofu.
  • Also suitable for children – with less salt and a bit of butter, it’s a nutritious and simple meal.

Ready in 7–10 minutes. No peeling, no waste – just fast and delicious!
