Ingredients (for 2–3 servings):
- 1 pack of SIR POTATO – American-style skin-on potatoes (450 g)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (or rapeseed oil / butter-flavored oil)
- 1 tsp sweet paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground caraway
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 1 clove of garlic, pressed
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh rosemary or thyme
Method:
1. Preheating the oven:
Preheat the oven to 250 °C (fan-assisted).
2. Preparing the potatoes:
- Open the pack of American-style potatoes (450 g).
- No need to rinse them – they are thoroughly washed several times during production.
- Transfer to a colander and let drain for 2 minutes.
3. Seasoning:
- In a bowl, mix the potatoes with olive oil and all the spices.
- Optionally, add 1 tsp of corn starch for extra crispiness.
4. Baking:
- Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake for approx. 10 minutes, turning them once during baking so they become crispy on both sides.
5. Serving:
Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve as a side dish with chicken, beef, or vegetarian meals.
Serving tips:
- Great with homemade tartar sauce or a BBQ dip.
- Pairs perfectly with grilled or roasted meats.
- Can also be served as a main dish – just add cheese, an egg, and a salad.
