Sir Potato American-Style Potatoes – a Crispy Side Dish for Meat

Ingredients (for 2–3 servings):

  • 1 pack of SIR POTATO – American-style skin-on potatoes (450 g)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or rapeseed oil / butter-flavored oil)
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground caraway
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh rosemary or thyme

Method:

1. Preheating the oven:

Preheat the oven to 250 °C (fan-assisted).

2. Preparing the potatoes:

  1. Open the pack of American-style potatoes (450 g).
  2. No need to rinse them – they are thoroughly washed several times during production.
  3. Transfer to a colander and let drain for 2 minutes.

3. Seasoning:

  1. In a bowl, mix the potatoes with olive oil and all the spices.
  2. Optionally, add 1 tsp of corn starch for extra crispiness.

4. Baking:

  1. Spread the potatoes in a single layer on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  2. Bake for approx. 10 minutes, turning them once during baking so they become crispy on both sides.

5. Serving:

Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve as a side dish with chicken, beef, or vegetarian meals.

Serving tips:

  • Great with homemade tartar sauce or a BBQ dip.
  • Pairs perfectly with grilled or roasted meats.
  • Can also be served as a main dish – just add cheese, an egg, and a salad.
  • For lovers of spicy food: add a pinch of chilli to the seasoning mix.
